These funds are used to provide all medically necessary services to all persons with mental illness, especially persons in the targeted populations, who present themselves for service regardless of their ability to pay.  Priorities for service in this State Fiscal Year include: Intensive case management (CPST), Attendant Care, Peer Support, 24-hour crisis response, triage, stablization, and treatment services, Psychiatric services and Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services.  Community Based Behavioral Health Services will include: 24-hour, 7 days a week emergency treatment and first response services; Crisis responsiveness; Evaluation, assessment, and treatment; Screening for admission to a state psychiatric hospital, when applicable, and any follow up on consumers of emergency services not detained for inpatient care to determine any further needs for services.   And also provide services to the non-target, uninsured population as well as those at risk of being homeless or at risk of being jailed who have a mental illness.  Additionally COMCARE will provide; Basic Outpatient Treatment Services, Basic case management services for adults and basic community-based support services for children, adolescents, and their families.  This year's contract includes an increase in funding of $543,036  to help cover the necessary costs to provide the required services of the CMHC.
